I'm wearing a double-knit yet surprisingly light-weight merino scarf tucked into my dress shirt and I think it looks funny.

I have lots on my mind: Job market, too much to do in my current job that needs to be completed by the end of the month which is already short and my boss just reminded me this morning that I was supposed to teach our graduate student on Tuesday and didn't.

The only thing I want to scream about is snow, icepack and the lack of melting, which is probably a good thing since all the storm drains are blocked by icepack...

I know what you mean about the snow. We don't have nearly as much as you do, but I still wish it would all just go away.

I've got too much to do here at work, too, but my head is really just not functioning today. Really fighting to keep my eyes open, and I'm losing that battle.

I'm caffeinated. It's helping a lot with the tiredness. Although I'd have an easier time waking up in the morning if I weren't so dehydrated.

Secret: I was diagnosed with diabetes in November. Talk about a wake up call.

Oh wow. That's tough. Is it the kind manageable with diet and medication, or do you have to do injections? (I learned a lot from my Babysitters Club books, yes, I did.)

It's type 2, so no insulin, thank goodness, just oral meds, plus a strict diet. Of course, if I am unable to control it, eventually I could end up shooting up. ;-) But so far, so good. I am really motivated (going blind and amputations are not acceptable!). Doctor is very pleased with me. Let's hope things continue to go well.

Today, I am mostly wearing black. What are you wearing?

I haven't seen any of the Olympics yet! I keep forgetting that it's even on.

I am pretty boring librarian today. Gray trousers, oyster colored button down shirt, black cardigan, black and gray argyle socks, and black mary janes. And a silver and blue flower necklace that I like.

I am going through chunks of Olympics watching. The other night I was flipping constantly between the dog show and the Olympics; last night I couldn't get into it and ended up putting on the House of Elliot instead.

I don't know, that sounds a nice outfit to me.

Dog show! That's not part of the Olympics, is it? Dogs on Ice? Poodles' Slalom?

Hee, no, though dogs on ice would be something! The Westminster Dog Show was on earlier in the week, so of course I had to watch it.

I am stressed.

I am wearing dark blue jeans, red and white stripey top, pale gray tunic sweater, medium gray and dark gray woolly cardigan, and pale blue socks.

I am worried that I will never be able to get a job and that I will be in dire poverty when I am old.

I am completely missing the Olympics, because of too much work right now, and I hate that because I would like to watch some of it.

Mostly I would like to scream at people who think that treating people as stereotypes instead of individual human beings with a wealth of experience is acceptable behaviour.

I'm sorry you're stressed. I can totally sympathize with your worries. I keep going from unemployed to part time job and back again, and can't seem to get a real job and be able to take care of myself. This whole grown up thing really sucks.

I hope you get to watch some of the things you enjoy, and that work stops being so overwhelming. *hugs* Is there anything I can do to help?

I'm wearing black jeans and a purple/pink striped top. The top was a gift, and when I unwrapped it, my first reaction was, "Yuck! Strange choice!" But it's rather grown on me since...

V much loving the Olympics. Was glued to the whole of women's snowboard cross. Can't wait for the men's long programmes in figure skating.

I'm actually watching the Olympics right now, which is weird, because I really have no interest in sports, but my roommate had them on before she left and they are somewhat entertaining me. See also: vacation day. Although I hear there is hockey soon, at which point I will have to turn the TV off.
